Kaya Kwetu,
Msambweni
Welcome to Kaya Kwetu
On a secluded beach, surrounded by indigenous forest, we invite you to reconnect with nature and yourself.
Kaya Kwetu is a family-run boutique hotel that offers five ensuite rooms with flexible bed arrangements, comfortably accommodating up to 14 guests.
An ideal setting for retreats, workshops and for those seeking a peaceful place to simply be.
A personal retreat
Kaya is a word in the Mijikenda language meaning home and refers to a sacred site, while Kwetu translates to ours. Together, signifying our sacred home.
The buildings are decorated by artists from around the world, radiating joy through vibrant colors.
Our dream is to share this nurturing sanctuary and create space for personal transformation for both individuals and groups. We invite you to unwind by the beach, journal beneath the shade of ancient trees and immerse yourself in art, self-discovery and slow living.
Together with our wonderful staff, we welcome you to what truly is our sacred home.

In gratitude
Lindsay, Eirik and Imani

Kaya Kwetu is one of the most magical, peaceful and welcoming places that I have ever experienced. "Heaven on earth" is the only expression that comes to my mind when remembering my stay. Thank you all for creating such a sacred place.”

and make the desert my mistress.
